Tamyra Crossley

A native of Mississippi, Tamyra Crossley is a 3rd year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. After receiving her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School, she began developing her dissertation, which examines and constructs a theory for understanding the psychological function of Negro Spirituals. Much of her clinical work has been conducting psychological assessments in schools and providing therapy to culturally diverse youth in low-income neighborhoods. Tamyra has interests in African American mental health and outreach, expressive arts therapy, and multiculturalism and social justice.
