Dr. Abuhamda received her undergraduate degree at the University of Cairo in Egypt before completing a certificate in counseling and psychotherapy at Regent’s college in London, England. She completed her Doctoral training at The George Washington University in Washington, DC and her residency at the Center for Multicultural Human Services (specializing in working with Refugees and survivors of political torture). She is a clinical faculty member at the George Washington University, school of professional psychology and an Adjunct faculty at The Johns Hopkins University, school of business and education. Dr. Abuhamda is director of clinical training at Washington Behavioral Health an outpatient dual diagnosis day hospital. She also has a private practice in Mclean, VA. She is on the board of The National Arab-American Medical Association.
